In Armenia, Yerevan is one of the best cities in the world.  Yerevan is called as the ‘Pink City’ because of the color of the stones used to build much of the city center, which is a short area known as Kentron. 

The capital city is quickly displaying a significant tourist stop thanks to its many landmarks, extensive nightlife, great museums, and lovely parks.

1 Republic Square

Yerevan Water world is a very famous waterpark. The three-hectare water park is home to 12 waterslides, 7 outdoor pools, 3 indoor pools, and 2 children areas.

6.Swan Lake
In the wintertime, one of the great outside pools at Yerevan Water World is converted into a 500 square meters ice arena. It is a lot of play and is a must for anyone visiting Yerevan in the winter.

Extra choice is to travel to Swan Lake and skate with the locals. The lake sits directly next to the Opera House and is a wonderful place to skate around, breathing in the fresh air and enjoying the neighboring landscape. Skate rents are available, which is a big plus for any visitors touring the city.


7. Kond
Kond is one of the most traditional areas in the city, dating back to the 17th century. The quarter sits along a hill facing the city center.

The area is home to many Ottoman/Persian/Muslim houses that feature 1.5-meter thick walls that were originally made out of clay and small stones. These houses sit along narrow streets and alleyways that are no more than 90 to 120 centimeters wide.

Walking around Kond is a wonderful experience, gazing at the ancient architecture and finding some hidden gems. Spend an afternoon getting lost along the winding streets and alleyways in Kond, as you never know what you may find here.
