RAJASTHAN EXPLORER 7N/8D  Ex Jaipur – Jaipur (2N)  – Bikaner (1N) – Jaisalmer (2N) – Dechu (1N) -  Jodhpur  (1N)  - Ex Jaipur .

DAY 01: Jaipur Arrival + ChowkhiDhani Dinner
Today upon arrival at Jaipur airport / station transfer to the hotel. Afternoon will be at leisure.Towards the evening  we can choose to visit ChowkhiDhani for a traditional rajasthani sit down dinner along with various folk activities (own cost). Return to the hotel . Overnight at Jaipur. 

DAY 02: Jaipur City Tour 
Today morning we begin exploration of Jaipur – Enthralling, historical Jaipur, Rajasthan’s capital, is the gateway to India’s most flamboyant state. The city’s colourful, chaotic streets ebb and flow with a heady brew of old and new.At the city’s heart, the City Palace continues to house the former royal family; the JantarMantar, the royal observatory, maintains a heavenly aspect; and the honeycomb HawaMahal gazes on the bazaar below. And just out of sight, in the arid hill country surrounding the city, is the fairy-tale grandeur of Amber Fort, Jaipur’s star attraction. Today we will explore all these attraction through the day and return to the hotel later in the evening. Towards the evening we can choose to visit ChowkhiDhani for a traditional rajasthani sit down dinner along with various folk activities. Return to the hotel . Overnight at Jaipur. 


DAY 03: Jaipur – Drive to Bikaner (Appx 330 Kms / 5 Hrs) 
Morning check out & drive to Bikaner. On arrival check in at hotel. Proceed for sightseeing tour of  Bikaner.RaoBikaji,  visit the  Junagarh  Fort, constructed between 1588 and 1593 by Raja Jai Singh, a general in theMoghul Emperor Akbar's army. The city is also called the "Camel Country". Visit the camel-breeding farm - the only one in Asia. Also visit theKarni Mata Temple. Bikaner - Founded in 1488 by a  Rathore  Prince,  Rao Bikaji , a descendant of the founder of Jodhpur,  Rao Jodhaji ,  Bikaner  has a glorious past to tell. Situated in the north of Rajasthan, the walled city of Bikaner is famous for its sky touching forts, camel safaris, citadels and the well-known camel festival. Overnight at Bikaner hotel

DAY 04: Bikaner – Drive to Jaisalmer( Appx 330 Kms / 6 Hrs ) 
Morning after breakfast, we will drive to Jaisalmer No place better evokes exotic camel-train trade routes and desert mystery. Ninety-nine bastions encircle the fort’s still - inhabited twisting lanes. Inside are shops swaddled in bright embroideries, a royal palace and numerous businesses looking for your tourist rupee. Despite the commercialism, it’s hard not to be enchanted by this desert citadel. Beneath the ramparts, particularly to the north, the narrow streets of the old city conceal magnificent havelis, all carved from the same golden-honey sandstone as the fort – hence Jaisalmer’s designation as the Golden City.A city that has come back almost from the dead in the past half-century, Jaisalmer may be remote, but it’s certainly not forgotten – indeed it’s one of Rajasthan’s biggest tourist destinations. Evening we will enjoy a puppet show at a local theatre. Return to the hotel . Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 05: Jaisalmer City Tour 
After breakfast, start exploring Jaisalmer. Proceed to visit Jaisalmer Fort known as sonar quila- rising from the sand, the mega structure that merges with the golden hues of the desert ambience and the setting suns in its most colorful shades gives it a wonderful look. It’s simply a magic, the bastions envelops a whole townships that consist of palace complex, PatwonJi Ki Haveli This is one of the largest and most elaborate Haveli in Jaisalmer and stands in a narrow lane. It is five storey high and is extensively carved. There are remnants of paintings on some of the inside walls as well as some mirror work. The most elaborate and magnificent of all the Jaisalmerhavelis, it has exquisitely carved pillars and exquisitely carved pillars and extensive corridors and chambers. Later will visit the Gadisar Lake and the markets of Jaisalmer to pick up some souvenirs for folks back home. Evening we will visit the Sam sand dunes and enjoy at camel ride / jeep safari (own cost) . Overnight at Jaisalmer. 

DAY 06: Jaisalmer – DechuDesert (Appx 140 Km / 2.5 Hrs) 
Today morning after breakfast, we check out and transfer to Dechu for the quintessential rajasthani experience if staying in desert camp on the sand dunes. Enroute we will visit the Jaisalmer war memorial as well. Upon arrival at Dechu, we will check into our beautifully located desert camp and relax. Towards the evening we can opt to take a camel ride or jeep safari on the sand dunes (own cost). At night we will enjoy a traditional rajasthani folk performance under a staryy sky to bring to end a magnificient trip to  this land of kings . Dinner & overnight at Camps. 

DAY 07 :Jodhpur Transfer + Jodhpur City Tour  (Appx 120 Kms / 2 Hrs) 
Today morning after breakfast we will check out from our camp and transfer to Jodhpur by road , upon arrival we will check into the hotel and later proceed for a city tour  ,we will explore the city of Jodhpur - Mighty Mehrangarh, the muscular fort that towers over the Blue City of Jodhpur, is a magnificent spectacle and an architectural masterpiece. Around Mehrangarh’s base, the old city, a jumble of Brahmin-blue cubes, stretches out to the 10km-long, 16th-century city wall. The Blue City really is blue! Inside is a tangle of winding, glittering, medieval streets, which never seem to lead where you expect them to, scented by incense, roses and sewers, with shops and bazaars selling everything from trumpets and temple decorations to snuff and saris.  We will visit the JaswantThada and the fort, and post lunch drive to Jaisalmer. Upon arrival check into the hotel. Overnight at Jodhpur. 

DAY 08: Jodhpur – Jaipur Departure( Appx 300 Kms / 6 Hrs ) 
Morning after breakfast, transfer to Jaipur Airport / Station in time for onward connection.  Enroute we can plan visit to Pushkar / Ajmer if time permits. Tour Ends.

DAY 01: Ahmedabad Arrival – Drive to Udaipur - Evening Boat Ride on Lake Pichola  (Appx 250 Kms / 5 Hrs ) 
Today upon arrival at Ahmedabad we will transfer to Udaipur, we will get transferred to our hotel. Check In& Afternoon at Leisure Udaipur - Beside shimmering Lake Pichola, with the ochre and purple ridges of the wooded Aravalli Hills stretching away in every direction, Udaipur has a romance of setting unmatched in Rajasthan and arguably in all India. Fantastical palaces, temples, havelis and countless narrow, crooked, timeless streets add the human counterpoint to the city’s natural charms. For the visitor there's the tranquillity of boat rides on the lake, the bustle and colour of ancient bazaars, a lively arts scene, the quaint old-world feel of its better hotels, endless tempting shops and some lovely countryside to explore on wheels, feet or horseback. Evening we venture to have a serene boat ride on Lake Pichola (own cost). Overnight at Udaipur. 

DAY 02: Udaipur City Tour.  
Today morning after breakfast , we will spend the day exploring the various sights of this magnificient city , we will visit the City Palace -has various towers, domes and arches, which add to the flavor of heritage site. Towering on the banks of Pichola Lake, City Palace is truly a feast to the eyes. City Palace is a marvelous assortment of courtyards, pavilions, terraces, corridors, rooms and hanging gardens. Encircled by fortifications, this imposing Palace is wholly built in granite and marble. Saheliyonki Bari -  one the most beautiful gardens and a major tourist destination in Udaipur. The garden is famous for its lush green lawns, marble art and fountains. English translation of Saheliyon Ki Bari means "Garden of maids". This renowned garden is located on the banks of FatehSagar Lake, presenting a green retreat in the dry lands of Rajasthan. Garden of maids was built in the 18th century by MaharanaSangram Singh for the royal ladies. andBharatiyaLok Kala Mandal. Evening visit the MaharanaPratap Memorial. Overnight stay at Udaipur hotel.

DAY 03 :Udaipur  – Ranakpur – Kumbhalgarh – Jodhpur  ( Appx 330 Kms / 6 Hr  ) 
Today morning after breakfast, we will take check out and proceed to Jodhpur .EnrouteVisit the RanakpurJain Temples, which date back more than 500 years and have been superbly preserved. Notable features include 29 halls with 1,444 pillars, each one unique.  After seeing the Jain Temple, stop for lunch at a local restaurant. Then drive for one hour to reach Kumbhalgarh, a striking fort situated on a hill overlooking the Kumbhalgarh valley. The fort has been converted into an elegant hotel.  In the late afternoon, relax on the scenic drive to Jodhpur where your get dropped to your hotel. Overnight at hotel. 

 

DAY 04 : Jodhpur City Tour + Transfer to Jaisalmer

DAY 03: Jaipur to Jodhpur Via Pushkar (Appx 300Kms / 5 Hrs )
Today morning after an early breakfast, we will check out and proceed to Jodhpur , with an stopover at Pushkar - has a magnetism all of its own – it’s quite unlike anywhere else in Rajasthan. It’s a prominent Hindu pilgrimage town and devout Hindus should visit at least once in their lifetime. The town curls around a holy lake, said to have appeared when Brahma dropped a lotus flower. It also has one of the world’s few Brahma temples. With 52 bathing ghats and 400 milky-blue temples, the town often hums with puja (prayers), generating an episodic soundtrack of chanting, drums and gongs, and devotional songs. Visit the temple and the lake and continue onwards to Jodhpur. Upon arrival check into the hotel. Overnight at Jodhpur. 

DAY 04: Jodhpur City Tour

This crowded, hectic zone is also Jodhpur’s main tourist area. Areas of the old city further west, such as Navchokiya, are just as atmospheric, with far less hustling. We will visit the JaswantThada and the fort, towards the evening we will explore the area around clock tower and step wells. Overnight at Jodhpur.
